2007 vovo penta 5.0 GXI-G (yr-2007) Engine has cracked block & manifolds from freezing

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

Graham,

Thanks for your inquiry and the opportunity at earning your business. Short blocks are no longer available due to the cost of processing the short block simply not being enough of a savings to warrant marketing that product. The other issue was that the engines could not be fully tested without the cylinder heads installed and in so many cases bad heads were reinstalled by the customer and therefore caused various non-covered warranty problems. Therefore several years ago most of the “reputable” manufactures decided overall customer satisfaction was the goal and therefore they dis-continued offering short blocks. We have two different options for you to consider (see below). Let me know if you need any further technical information or help placing your order. In either case I will be glad to assist!

Installing Stainless Marine Exhaust on a 2005 Mercruiser 5.0 MPI in a Baja Boat

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

Donald,

The Dry Joint exhaust is a little taller than the older style and also utilizes a 14 degree down angle versus 7 degree. This system requires a different Stainless Marine kit that retails for $2450, your cost after discount is $2187.

It is also dry joint setup

Donald,

How does the exhaust currently exit your boat?

Regards

350 mag, EFI has stock manifolds

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

Mike,

Thanks for your inquiry and the opportunity at earning your business. Yes this would be a direct repalcement for that model, so long as you do not have a 3” or 6” spacer block between the existing manifolds and risers. Using the link below you can add your selected product(s) to your shopping cart and the shipping estimator located at the bottom of the shopping cart page will give you a shipping cost based on your specific postal code. Let me know if you need any further technical information or help placing your order. In either case I will be glad to assist!
